So who’s seen the new Katrina Kaif film, Ek Tha Tiger? Not me, but what has caught my eye is how stunning Katrina Kaif looks throughout the film. I’m focusing on the make up. In all the shots, her make up is looking flawless, natural and not heavily bold. This style is very elegant and also adds a splash a romance by highlighting certain parts of the face.
Lots of Bollywood actresses wear similar looks when portraying this type of character. Usually a soft, dark liner with simple contouring, using an array of browns across the lid, up to the brow. Beautifully defined cheek bones, rose tint blusher and pinkish/nude glossy lips.
Using natural colours on the lips always looks fresh and amazing, I tend to use soft pinks, nudes and light browns on my clients quite often, especially when they have requested to have bold colours on their eyes. There’s a rule I picked up on in school, which I often relate to my make up choices today.
‘If you have your legs out, then cover up your chest and if you’ve got your chest on show then cover up your legs’
‘Colourful on the eyes, nude on the lips and simple eyes should have bright lips’
I haven’t worded it very well but hopefully you understand what I mean. I love this rule and often see it being used in Bollywood. If you wondering how to achieve this look as it would be a great ‘Every Day look’ stay tuned as I will be uploading a new video showing step by step this romantic natural look but in the mean time check out my video On Rani Mukherjee.
