It’s truly amazing what a little vitamin D can do to all of us. I turn into a hopeless romantic whenever the sun decides to show his face and on a beautiful day like this I thought why not go through my fabulous low effort summer makeup look with you all. Today I’m going for a soft brown smoke with black eyeliner in my water line, double mascara, pinky/coral blusher and Spice lips as you can see the pic. How did I achieve this? Well its really easy. Firstly get yourself a beauty blender sponge, either go for the branded one or do as I did order them from Ebay. If you have dark circles around your eyes, get yourself a concealer which is one shade darker than your foundation. I have used NC 42 Studio Finish Concealer by Mac.
Then with the flat side of the sponge I applied a tiny sweetcorn amount of NC 40 Studio Sculpt to my cheeks by Mac, center of forehead, nose and chin. I didn’t go over the concealer under the eyes as I didn’t want a heavy coverage today as my skin tends to become oily and more prone to oil lines in foundation when it’s hot. But feel free if you feel you need the coverage. I then set my concealer and foundation with a light brush of NC 40 Studio Fix pressed powder by Mac, which I find is perfect for filling in any flaws that I had forgotten and getting rid of the oily shine and leaving that dewy glow.
I roughly lined the outer corners, top and bottom of my eyes with Eye Pencil in Coffee by Mac, then simply smudged the liner (as explained in the ‘How to apply eyeliner’ blog) Then lining my water lines, top and bottom, with Eye Khol in Smoulder by Mac. Finishing the eyes with lashings of False Lash Flutter in Black by L’oreal on my lashes. Using my Sleek Eyebrow Kit in Dark 818 I lined and filled in my brows, then lightly contoured my cheeks and forehead with a matt bronzer.
Added a flush of Pinch Me Sheertone Blush by Mac to the apples of my cheeks and filled in my lips with Lip Pencil in Spice by Mac. That’s me for today, you can also try out adding a highlighter to the brow bone and upper cheeks, which can be quite elegant as the sun light hits your face and gives your natural glow a little helping hand 🙂 because sometimes we all need a little help , well I know I do.
